Burkina Faso, ospedali a misura (and to design) di bambino
The premessa
A health facility aimed at children and their families can not be limited to offering medical care. The environments should not only suggest the idea of a place of suffering. The use of images and colors are necessary elements to make your stay in the healthcare facility as reassuring as possible for young patients. Everything, if valid always and everywhere, viene ad avere un impatto revolutionary in una realtà come quella dell’Africa e in particolare del Burkina Faso, one of the poorest countries in the world. In this situation, l’idea di affrescare gli ambienti destinati alla degenza dei bambini con immagini, colori e disegni per loro stimolanti, non ha solo lo scopo di tener conto degli aspetti psicologici ed emotivi dei bambini ricoverati, ma possiede una valenza più ampia.
L’obiettivo
La struttura sanitaria vista non solo come luogo di cura, ma come luogo dove costruire una cultura di difesa dei diritti dei bambini. Nella situazione drammatica di un Paese africano, in cui la sofferenza e la miseria fanno parte del vivere quotidiano, una struttura sanitaria nice oltre che efficiente assume un significato ben specificoper tutti coloro, children or adults, who are there to pass: a sign of hope, the vision of a different world possible. Where L’idea è nata visitando due strutture sanitarie presso i villaggi di Boussé e Nanoro dove AfricaGriot già è presente con il progetto di Sostegno a Distanza in collaborazione con le missioni lì presenti delle Suore Apostole del Sacro Cuore. Le strutture coinvolte nel progetto sono:
- il Believe (Centro di Recupero e di Educazione Nutrizionale) operante presso la missione nel villaggio di Boussé,
- il nuovo Reparto Pediatrico del Centro Medico con Antenna Chirurgica nel villaggio di Nanoro. department in the course of construction.
When
- August 2008: from 18 to the 25 August, presso il Cren di Boussé, was made the first part of the project: the’affrescatura delle tre stanze di degenza destinate ai bambini denutriti e alle loro mamme provenienti dal villaggio di Boussé e da quelli della zona circostante. - Marzo 2009: il 12 and 13 marzo completamento del Cren. E’ stata stesa sulle pareti una vernice trasparente, protettiva e lavabile. Il 14 marzo, invece, è stato dedicato a un sopralluogo all’ospedale di Nanoro per osservare e valutare i lavori di costruzione del reparto pediatrico e programmare l’intervento sulle otto stanze di degenza, la sala rianimazione, la sala giochi, il refettorio, showers the room for the kids, room attesa e, finally, the outside of the playroom.
